Lingnan UnivThe International Postgraduate Summer School cum International Conference on Comparative Development and Policy Studies provides a platform for scholars and research postgraduate students to present their major research findings, share good research practices and reflect upon major methodological issues.

In collaboration with leading institutions in Asia, the UK and USA, the International Postgraduate Summer School cum International Conference also brings students across different parts of the globe to form a learning community for enhancing their research experiences. A special forum on The Quest for World-class University: The Role of Liberal Arts Education in Asia is organized to have leading scholars reflecting and debating upon higher education from comparative and development perspectives.

The Summer School and the Conference is co-organized with Fu Jen Catholic University (Taiwan), National Cheng Chi University (Taiwan), Peking University (China), Rutgers University (USA), South China Normal University (China), Sun Yat-sen University (China), The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (China), Tsinghua University (China), University of York (UK), as well as Zhejiang University (China). Speakers from the co-organizing universities will present and share their research experiences with participating postgraduate students, with particular reference to research methodological issues. Speakers will also share their recent research findings in relation to the symposium’s theme “Comparative Development and Policy Studies”.

Fees
HK$5,000 for non-local postgraduate students
(Fee includes the accommodation, registration for international conference, training workshops, student presentation sessions (optional), welcoming and farewell dinners, site visit and city night. Students only have to be responsible for meals other than the two dinners and personal expenses)
