Baltic Alliance for Asian Studies (BAAS) is calling for submission of panel/paper proposals to the fourth BAAS conference that is going to take place at Vytautas Magnus University in March 5-7th, 2020.
After being organized in 2014 in Vilnius, later in Tartu (2016) and Riga (2018), BAAS Conference is returning to Lithuania. The last conference in Riga attracted nearly 100 participants from around 20 countries, making it one of the major academic events dedicated to Asian studies in the Baltic States. The scope of the conference allows the participants to share new discoveries, insights and future research plans among the scholars from Baltic region and whole world.
The organizers welcome participants from various academic disciplines to share their research on the topics related to Asia. The BAAS conference is not limited to one particular approach and encourages submissions of proposals that can be classified under different fields of humanities and social sciences: anthropology, ethnology, history, linguistics, sociology, political science, etc. The working language of the conference is English.
Panel proposals can be submitted until December 2, 2019 (extended to December 10).
Individual paper proposals can be submitted until December 20, 2019.
