On November 23 Vytautas Magnus University was visited by the Representative of Taipei Mission in Riga, ambassador Gary K. Y. Ko and the accompanying delegation. The guests had a meeting with the Rector of VMU Prof. Zigmas Lydeka, Vice-Rector Prof. Auksė Balčytienė, and head of VMU International Office Ms. Zina Baltrėnienė.

Later the guests visited the Centre for Asian Studies and the memorial museum of Sugihara. During the meetings VMU and Taipei Mission delegation members discussed various possibilities of collaboration and development of Chinese studies at Vytautas Magnus University.
