Donguk UniversityOn July 19, the student exchange agreement and general agreement for academic cooperation between Vytautas Magnus University and Dongguk University, South Korea was signed. The agreements considered educational and academic exchanges including exchange of academic staff, coordination joint research and training, exchange of documentation and research materials, exchange of students for study and research.

Beginning in 2010 in both universities up to two (2) students per academic year annually can be admitted. The first student from Vytautas Magnus University is already starting his studies at Dongguk University from this September.

Dongguk University was founded  in 1906 and is one of the few Buddhist affiliated universities in the world. Yet its doors have always been open to students and teachers of all faiths and philosophies. Dongguk consistently ranks among Korea’s top universities. 20 000 undergraduate and almost 4000 graduate students  attend  the university. 10% of lectures are taught in English.
