Depending on the size of a country and the number of regions, they can differ only a little or may have so many differences that people who live in the same country but different regions can hardly understand each other. Japan has a few dialects and the most famous are Kansai and Kanto dialects. The Kansai dialect is a group of Japanese dialects in the Kansai region of Japan. This Friday Kansai dialect will be presented by an exchange student from Japan, Satoshi Wada. He will tell us why this dialect has become so popular recently, explain the differences between Kansai and Kanto dialects, also you can try to talk as people from Kansai region by yourselves.
