LbtYdanc_400x400EFIL/AFS with the support from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is organizing a short-term youth exchange program “MIRAI” and is seeking for student participants. Selected students from different countries will visit Japan and participate in various activities (seminars, company visits, home-stay) from December 15 to December 22 this year. All costs are covered by the organizers. Participants are not required to speak Japanese.

The selection for the program will happen in several stages. The first stage is coordinated by the Centre of Asian Studies (CAS). After that the selection is organized by the Embassy of Japan in Vilnius.

For the first stage, CAS is inviting all students who are stuying political science and are interested in Japan to submit a motivational letter where they explain their interest in the program and their suitability for it. The letters have to be sent to l.didvalis@pmdf.vdu.lt by October 12. CAS will select one student and announce the result by October 19.

Things to keep in mind:

1) students have to dedicate themselves to the program and participate in all events actively;
2) the schedule of the program is intense and students will not be able to have free time to visit places of their personal interest;
3) the organizers require students to send several reports after the program is finished;
4) the time coincides with VMU’s exam session so students might need to make some arrangements to solve that.
