The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) invites graduate students majoring in Korean Studies to apply for the new AKS Research Grant program, which provides graduate students an opportunity to do research in Korea and prepare for a thesis in Korean Studies.

Grant Period is 6 months from entry. Successful candidates are expected to arrive at the AKS from Nov. 30, 2011~ to Feb. 29, 2012.

Eligibile are the graduate students specializing in Korean Studies at an overseas university and those who have completed required coursework. They must be non-Korean citizens.

Grant Benefits

  1. Monthly Stipend: 900,000KW
  2. Travel allowance (economy class round trip air-fare)
  3. On-campus accommodation available (Students must pay for their own accommodation.)
  4. Opportunities to Korean language instructions at the AKS
  5. Access to AKS facilities including library
