At the end of March a representative of the Centre for Asian Studies Lina Petrauskaitė visited Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. During the visit she got to know three different departments of university – International Office, Communication Office and the Department of Asian and North African Studies. During the meetings Lina acquired knowledge to improve communication, started the agreement on the development of international relations between the VMU and Ca ‘Foscari University and learned about the East Asian studies in the Department of Asian and North African Studies. In the last days the employee also told her impressions of Ca ‘Foscari in its radio, got to see two libraries of the Ca’ Foscari university and represented VMU to the Department of Asian and North African Studies employees and teachers.

“Ca ‘Foscari University in some parts is very different from the VMU. There every university building has a courtyard and library tailored precisely to the student’s and staff’s of the building’s needs. The main Ca’ Foscari building yard is access to the Grand Canal overlooking a particularly nice view. This is probably fascinated me the most, “- Lina shared her first impressions.

Ca ‘Foscari University – is the only university in Italy, which offers East Asian studies at both undergraduate and master’s degree courses.
